Terms of Use
These terms govern the BUFFMAP Android app and buffmap.app, offered under the Google Play developer name Lot Foundry. You must read and accept them before creating or uploading a public record.
Who may use BUFFMAP
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. The current operational pilot is focused on San Diego, California.
Use the service safely and lawfully
Do not use BUFFMAP to trespass, vandalize property, evade law enforcement, target or harass a person, expose a private residence, publish a dangerous exact location, impersonate an artist, upload unlawful material, interfere with the service, or automate scraping or abusive requests.
BUFFMAP documents street art; it does not grant permission to enter property, create art, remove art, or ignore local rules. You are responsible for your own conduct and surroundings.
Objectionable content is prohibited
BUFFMAP does not allow doxxing; threats; stalking or harassment; hate speech; sexual exploitation or any sexual content involving minors; graphic violence intended to shock; instructions that facilitate dangerous or illegal acts; spam; scams; malicious impersonation; or content that violates another person's privacy, copyright, or other rights. We may hide or remove prohibited material and restrict or suspend the responsible account.
Your submissions
You keep ownership of content you own. You give BUFFMAP a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, resize, display, and distribute the sanitized derivative and record information as needed to operate and promote the service. Only submit material you have the right to share.
Choose location precision, attribution, and publication timing carefully. Exact is intended only for authorized legal walls. Public records may be copied or preserved by others even after BUFFMAP removes them.
Artist, safety, and rights requests
Artists and rights holders may request attribution changes, location coarsening, unmapping, or removal. Anyone may report doxxing, a dangerous location, hate content, impersonation, or other safety concerns. Contact legal@buffmap.app and include the public record code. BUFFMAP may hide or remove content while a request is reviewed.
Accounts
You are responsible for protecting your passphrase and recovery words. BUFFMAP cannot restore secrets it does not hold. Do not sell, transfer, or use an account to evade a restriction. We may suspend access necessary to protect users, the service, or comply with law.
Service availability
The service is provided during an early operational pilot and may change, pause, or experience errors. Map and record information may be incomplete, delayed, imprecise, or wrong. Do not rely on BUFFMAP for navigation, emergencies, property access, or personal safety decisions.
